What a great event this is! Since 2000, huge numbers of race enthusiasts have flocked to Kingman for the street drags, car show, and the events on Friday & Saturday nights .

By 2009 record numbers of participants and spectators enjoyed the fun. There were 246 racers and crowds were estimated at over 15,000 for the weekend.

The Kingman Street Drags is the only official, fully timed drag race down main street Route 66 in the world.

A block party is held on Saturday night with live entertainment, street dance, plenty of food and refreshments, and a variety of vendors. During the races there are beer gardens. There is also a Car Show for all the street rodders who don't race their ride but love to show it. Come and enjoy yourself.

In addition to their own security staff they are assisted by the Kingman Police, The Mohave County Sheriff which is headquartered nearby, and The Department of Public Safety which has the District 1 Headquarters here in Kingman. The policy of the Kingman Street Drags incudes no colors, no weapons, and no attitudes.
