The American Cancer Societys Bark For Life is a special event for dogs and their human companions. Bark For Life honors the care-giving qualities of our canine best friends. You and your dog(s) are invited to form a Bark For Life companion team.
Afer the opening ceremony the event will start with a 1 Mile Dog Walk. Other activities include a dog costume contest, a dog/owner look-a-like contest, musical sit contest, a dog bone drop contest (Bones Cost $25.00), and prettiest/ugliest dog contest.
Several dog experts will make presentations and, a pet photographer will be there. There will be music and food, a gift basket raffle, and nail trimming. A special police K9 presentation will be sure to entertain you.
The American Cancer Society Bark For Life honors the life-long contribution of our Canine Caregivers. Canine Caregivers are Canine Companions, Guide Dogs, Service Dogs, Rescue Dogs, Therapy Dogs, Police Dogs, Cancer Survivor Dogs, and Diagnostic Dogs, who with their owners, are joining the American Cancer Society to celebrate cancer survivorship, to honor people lost to cancer, to fundraise in support of cancer research, education, awareness, patient services, advocacy, and to help eliminate the suffering that cancer causes worldwide.
